Our Story

Unknowingly became instrumental in creating a culture and community in Austin Texas, which influenced so many people from all walks of Life for over four decades, while I was conducting business with i Luv Video, Spider House Cafe, Ballroom event Space, and I Luv Vintage. When they all closed during covid, I then really understood the importance of what culture is to the people and its community it serves.

Video Culture

Started in the video business in Mesa Arizona, while working for Sounds Easy, and came to Austin in 1984 to open a video store. Over the next 36 years, open up nine different video store locations around Austin, until having to close during covid. The community was devastated over the loss of the store and the community. It was my mission to continue the culture. During and after covid work with the Family for two years searching for the right organization or person, that understood the importance of the collection and more important what it represented to the people. Finally after so much work boxing, cataloging, sorting, storing. Macy Cotton, came to me with a idea, of creating a nonprofit video store called "We Luv Video". The community reach out and made it happen with love and understanding the importance of ground floor film culture is to people, with physical media. Two years later, We luv video is thriving and reaching the hearts of thousands of people in Austin Texas.
